2011 Australian Learning & Teaching Council (ALTC) Award - 2011 Ms. Tan Yin Ling was awarded 2011 Australian Learning & Teaching Council (ALTC) Award – Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (Early Career), for her innovating effective approaches to teaching that foster independent learning in chemical engineering students and to develop them as unique individuals

2010 Curtin Excellent and Innovation in Teaching Award - 2010 Ms. Tan Yin Ling was also awarded 2010 Curtin Excellent and Innovation in Teaching Award. The prestigious award, which is granted at the discretion of the Curtin Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Award (EIT) Committee, recognises Curtin’s academics at both Curtin’s mother campus and international branch campuses for outstanding performance in teaching and enhancing students’ learning.
