Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa offers two specializations, namely, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering. As of 2015, student intake is 100 for Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering and 12 for Biomedical Engineering. Biomedical Engineering degree program commenced in 2013 with an intake of 10 students. CITeS is responsible for the physical IT Infrastructure of the University (i.e. Backbone Network & Internal Telephone network) and General Computing facilities.
