      Under the general supervision of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Chief, the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator establishes an integrated emergency preparedness program that will prepare and coordinate civic administration and departmental operational resources, other agencies, and the public; to be prepared for, respond to and recover from disasters. The Emergency Preparedness Coordinator will report to the WFPS Chief regarding day to day activities, however, is ultimately responsible to the CAO and Council regarding major events. On a day to day basis serves as the City’s liaison on emergency preparedness issues, coordinates training programs, assists departments with their emergency plans and administers the submittal process for Federal and Provincial reimbursement claims for the City’s costs during emergency operations.
