      Scott held the role as regional coordinator of the Australian Sports Commissions Active After School Communities program in Western NSW for 2 years followed by a further 4 years managing the Newcastle region. This work focused on community development, health and education through the implementation of community sport initiatives and adult coach education programmes. The purpose of this work was to increase grassroots participation through community engagement initiatives and the provision and administration of grant funding to schools and community organisations. To be successful in this role Scott engaged and built positive relationships with multiple stakeholders on a regional and national level including school principals, regional education directors, sporting organisations, government departments, community groups and politicians.       Scott is a founding Director and Partner of Pulse Climbing. He is a passionate outdoor rock climber who has pursued the sport in some of the most renowned climbing locations in the world. In 2010, along with some other local climbers, he formed a partnership to build Newcastle's only dedicated indoor climbing centre. In this governance role Scott works with other board members to develop business strategies to ensure the long term growth and success of the business.
