      SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF NOVEL AMPHIPHILIC THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE COPOLYMERS

      Novel amphiphilic segmented thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) copolymers were synthesized using bulk polymerization without any solvent. Poly(dimethylsiloxane), hydroxyl terminated (PDMS)/Pentaerythritol and 1,6- Hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI) were used to form TPU. A series of TPUs were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).
