      As a medical student, founded a research and service organization in partnership with the Ecuadorian Ministry of Health and civil society organizations to implement and study innovative programs in health, nutrition, and education in Quito. To date over 1,000 volunteers and staff have worked with The Quito Project, and it is the longest-running student organization at the University of Michigan Health System.
