And tried to look at how our occupations have changed since our hunter-gatherer days. And hence, what kind of shifts are required in the workplaces. Our SBU had 20000+ Colleague Workforce specializing in Technical Services like Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency & Soft Services like Janitorial, Parking Management, Security Management. We had acquired two companies, one-a subsidiary of IL&FS, and another a western region player. We were also in talks with a USA based PE fund for funding our strategic roadmap for an Integrative Transdisciplinary Maintenance Company- spanning not just the services sector but also the industrial one.   It was 2012. I was thoroughly confused. There were gurus, experts, books. There were questions. There were answers. But I couldn't hold on to them. Until i realized that i was merely hunting-gathering, both the questions and the answers. And then began another journey. And a question gripped me. From the times of the hunter-gatherers that our very early ancestors were, or if we were to imagine so, have we come a long way or have we come full circle? I thought, because i was unreflective, that all i need to do is to get hold of some other, more finer or deeper, nuggets or first principles or wisdom, and life would be great. And maybe, that is the answer to establish having come a long way. As i kept searching (outwardly), i kept meeting "sometimes this and sometimes that" instead of "always is the case" or "always is useful". And there was a realization. That at some level, each of us, will need to discover and assimilate a personal truth while it intermingles with the social truth. But how does one do that? And are our current tools, like language even, equipped for it? Soon I realized that the increasing complexity and pace, is demanding a different nuance. Thus, began a quest to nuance, for my own self, some mechanism to make sense of tall-claims and popular somethings. Using two-by-two grids (230+ in the book, of the 500+ that happened during the journey). And using network-of-questions to disentangle my hold on "i know" and "i am right". This book is a humble submissions of some limited understanding. Drawing also from (very citingly or briefly) 106 thinkers. And some citing from 17 movies and 12 podcasts. Show less
