Responsible for the day-to-day operations of all information systems for the company, a 700+ employee facility that operated a just-in-time manufacturing environment 24 x 7. Worked with department budgets and purchased all computer equipment & supplies for the company. Installed the ERP software (Glovia from Fujitsu) in 1 1/2 months during the buy out from Maytag to include all financial, engineering, and manufacturing modules. Managed the ERP software from every level (planning, troubleshooting, and custom programming). Administered the HP9000, LAN, and three offsite warehouses. Wrote and maintained all of MCD's bar coding software including fixed raster scanners, hand held data collection scanners programmed in IRL, and other bar code reading devices. Maintained programs written in Pro-IV & Superlayer, C, IRL, Unix shell scripts, and DOS batch programs. Supported X windows stations and software. Supported Ceridian and ADP payroll software (customized). Installed and maintained EDI with trading partners (including Wal-Mart, AAFES, etc.) Communicated very well with both vendors and customers and got the job done in a team atmosphere.
