  17 Week Internship under supervision of Adaptive Sports/Physical Medicine & Rehabiltation Recreational Therapist at George E Wahlen VA in Salt Lake City with focus on training Veterans for the National Veteran Golden Age Games. Intern for adaptive sports in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Worked under recreation therapist supervisor doing intake assessments, attended spinal cord injury/cerebral vascular accident clinic to increase Veteran knowledge of adaptive sports programming, and facilitated a variety of adaptive sports programming. Programming included: adaptive shooting, adaptive watersports, cycling, rock climbing, indoor field sports, and more. Worked in partnership with a range of adaptive sports organizations within the Salt Lake City region such as Wasatch Adaptive Sports, Ogden Valley Adaptive Sports, and the National Ability Center as well as national organizations such as Adaptive Adventure.
