A team of 5 individuals and myself moved from Lexington, Kentucky to Charleston, West Virginia with the goal of starting a successful Satellite Sales Office for Total Quality Logistics. Taking with us the knowledge and work ethic needed to reach personal success at TQL and using those along with the four principles of TQL to build the framework and culture of team success. Each of my teammates as well as myself wore many hats outside of our job titles to ensure the success of our mission. Within 2 years of our office opening, we were able to grow our headcount to over 50 people, produce weekly office revenue numbers in the 6 figures, and establish programs to give back to the Charleston community through Adopt A Highway and Ronald McDonald House among others. Even though my time in Charleston has come to an end and my career at TQL has progressed to the IT side of the business, the work we did as founding members will never be finished as Charleston continues to grow and reach new milestones of success.
