      In 2013 VWFS AG announced its intent to enter the South African Market by forming its own captive finance company in partnership with Wesbank. I was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions' team that initiated negotiations, scoped the business from an operational perspective and managed the start up project. The business was launched in March 2014 where I assumed the role of Head of Sales and Operations. Due to the success and subsequent growth of the business I relinquished the Operational role and took on the additional role of Strategic Officer for the company, aligning and integrating global objectives into the local market.Key Highlights:• Successful launch of VWFS South Africa (PTY) Ltd in March 2014• Exceeding initial expectations and business case delivering substantial marketshare performance throughout the VW Group network• Successful negotiation with VWFS AG and VWSA of tactical strategy facilitating the integration of subvented bundled offers and financial products• Development and introduction of national dealer remuneration strategy• Expansion of business offering into the Insurance space including the negotiation and on boarding of third party Insurance partners• Development, formulation and roll out of VWFS SA strategy and internal value proposition Show less
