      Sept 2017 - Aug 2019
      Research Staff

Energy Systems Consultant | Swiss Energy Project (KVA Zurich & KVA Buchs)I developed a predictive quantitative model using Ebsilon software for a Swiss energy producers in Horgen and Buchs to optimize operational efficiency and assess technical risks during its transition phase. Main objective of my tasks involved assessing the feasibility of utilizing the waste heat vented out to atmosphere to improve the thermodynamic output efficiency and creating a practical solution framework to implement it. The predictive model was validated using benchmark process data from the client’s energy operations, demonstrating its accuracy and reliability. Following successful validation, the technical recommendations derived from the model were approved by the client. This achievement reflects my expertise in data-driven modeling, process optimization, and energy system analysis within the framework of energy sustainability and operational efficiency.Other activities during this phase: 1. Guiding PhD students in their experimental and CFD research on single- and multi-phase flow modeling2. Recruitment of new PhD students in the research group and overseeing their integration in the group3. Contributed to OECD status reports on behalf of the University of Luxembourg related to Nuclear Safety Systems in the realm of Passive Cooling Systems Show less
