  The Commerce Society is the official organization of the Department of Commerce which consists of 50+ active members including the Core Committee Members.The Commerce Society is one of the most prestigious Society in the College working under the Department of Commerce, Ramjas College. The courses offered by the Department of Commerce are among the most sought after and popular. The Department focuses on actual business practices and creates a deep understanding of business through its research and interaction.The Commerce Society conducts various events all around the year which include academic competitions, seminar, expert talks and events pertaining to the social responsibility of the society. The Commerce Society also conducts informal events like Freshers and Farewell during the academic session.   We undertook various initiatives like Startup Expo, an exhibition at Pragati Maidan for connecting startups with mentors & investors, Startup Decoded, a YouTube video series, and Udaan, a quarterly Entrepreneurship Magazine with a view to scale-up the activities of EIC, IIMR and to revamp its modus operandi.Responsibilities at Entrepreneurship Cell include :• Laying down the framework of the very first edition of StartUp Expo, to be held on 23rd February 2019 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi• Forming startegic alliances with various organzations like, 91springboard, Yes Bank, NIESBUD, Inc42, etc. for scaling-up the event• On-boarding more than 100 investors & mentors for startups from leading organizations of the world like Matrix, Accel, Chiratae Ventures, Huddle, NASSCOM, MoMSME, etc.• Launched "Startup Decoded", a YouTube video series wherein the members of EIC sit and discuss with the CXOs of various successful organizations and startups to unravel their success mantra.
