      Oct 2009 - Nov 2016
      Factory Engineer

As a Factory Engineer, I was tasked with analysing and optimising manufacturing processes, both continuous and batch, to enhance plant layouts. Additionally, I developed and implemented preventive maintenance plans for equipment and utility services, managed work orders for non-preventive outages and oversaw the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new machinery. My role also included supervising plant maintenance activities, including boilers, compressed air systems, chillers and diesel generators, and leading energy conservation projects to meet sustainability targets. Moreover, I played a key role in preparing and managing the Maintenance Budget and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX). Show less

    • T&S Buttons Co., Ltd.

      Nov 2016 - Sept 2022
Manufacturing Engineer | Operations and Maintenance

In this role, I was responsible for managing the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) process and integrating demand forecasting, Bill of Materials (BOM) and Master Production Schedules (MPS) to streamline production. In order to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing, I utilised statistical methods to analyse order forecasts, market trends and production performance. I also led initiatives to tackle production challenges using Root Cause Analysis, Value Stream Mapping and time studies. Implementing lean management practices such as 5S and waste reduction programs was a key focus, resulting in significant cost savings. A notable achievement was introducing saturated polyester resin into production, which saved $300K annually in raw materials and earned Global Recycle Standards (GRS) certification for sustainability. • Portrush Construction Ltd

      Oct 2022 - May 2024
      Project Engineer | Project Management

At Portrush Construction Ltd, I led the planning, execution and management of diverse projects, including a landmark $280 million, 285-unit apartment complex in Auckland. My role involved coordinating closely with trades, clients and internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient project phases. In addition, I analysed client requirements and design packages to develop effective fabrication methods and installation strategies, while adhering to budgetary constraints. By implementing lean principles and using value stream mapping, I optimised machine layouts and improved workshop efficiency. I also prepared and reviewed fabrication drawings, guided the workshop team and ensured quality through comprehensive Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and quality assurance packages. Aside from these, I established and maintained robust Health and Safety protocols, including creating Site-Specific Safety Procedures (SSSP) and conducting regular toolbox talks. Show less
