  The Milwaukee Community Sailing Center is one of the nation’s finest organizations, dedicated to providing recreational sailing opportunities through unique, high quality programs. The Sailing Center was recently honored and awarded by US Sailing (the National Governing Body of Sailing) as one of the nation's premier "Hallmark Organizations" and also for our "Outstanding Outreach and Inclusion".My tenure at the Sailing Center has enabled me to wear many hats as we matured into a leading organization. In 2019, I was awarded US Sailing's national "Outstanding Organizational Leader" Award.As Director, I handle business operations and staff management. I take pride in maintaining the highest standards and practices ensuring excellence for our staff, members and guests. Initially this required the design and implementation of organizational policies by establishing standards and procedures that were not originally in place. I am also responsible for all payroll and company accounts, both receivable and payable. I maintain all records, files and databases, assuring an accurate flow of information which allows for a peak level of efficiency. I manage rentals, schedules, calendars, interviews, appointments, speaking engagements and meetings for our facility.As the primary point of contact with clients and staff, I am able to stay connected to the 650+ members involved with our organization, determining trends, areas of expansion and evaluation of program needs and directions.
