      Worked with a team of students as part of the Design of Mitigation and Adaptation Strategies course. The project consisted of climate data assimilation for a particular ski area, inter-temporal modelling of a snow thickness and a collection of the related assessments in a wider Austrian region.

      I worked on Turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) generation in the convective boundary layer. I designed a model that estimates the TKE generation, by treating the convective boundary layer as a Carnot-like heat engine. The heat engine was conceptualized by applying the second law of thermodynamics (entropy law) to the heat transfer processes in the CBL. The work that was conducted in cooperation with Kleidon A., Renner M., Ganzeveld L., Hartogensis O., and Kolle O., will hopefuly result in a scientific publication. Show less
