  I worked as a supply teacher in the Birmingham Schools system after passing my PGCE and before moving to China. During this period I taught almost every kind of subject in the British curriculum. I gained a great deal of experience in classroom management and an insight into a number of different school environments. After 2 months of general supply I began a 5 month stretch at Hodge Hill Girls School. At this school I taught my specialism, English, and prepared my classes for their GCSE and SATs examinations.   As Learner Management Systems Operations Manager I run a learning space moodle used to coordinate a variety of synchronous online courses run by an international team of teachers. I lead this online school in its process of business development and expansion. I am also part of a national Academic Operations team. As part of this I coordinate special programmes between 12 schools and numerous sponsors across the UK and Ireland. This includes administration, management and customer relations. I teach, train and assist the Director of Studies. When the DOS is away I substitute for them. I perform a variety of educational and management tasks. I maintain IT systems as my job includes the role of Blended Learning Specialist. I also maintain my role particularly covering the welfare of Chinese students on Academic Programmes. I ran a programme in my school for Chinese students looking to study in preparation for IELTS before moving on to a foundation course at university. I also helped ensure the smooth running of the school by taking on administrative duties including database maintenance, record keeping and document preparation. I began at the company purely as a Teacher.
