      I have been in this role for 2 Years . I am responsible for about 240 people and the timely delivery of 15bln cigarettes to 18 end-markets. I am responsible for a budget of 18 million pounds. During this time I have redefined the department structure, maintenance philosophy and re-energised the Self Directed Work Teams. We have also gone through a complete reinstallation of our Primary processing department and have delivered this project on time and in full. My area covers leaf processing, secondary manufacturing ( making and packing cigarettes) spare parts management, maintenance , continuous improvement of all performance measures, waste management, talent developments and team development Show less As the Area QA manager for the Southern African Area from 2008 - 2012 I was resposible for the quality for all products manufactured in Heidelberg factory with a volume of 27 bln cigarettes as well 10 000 tons of tobacco . I had an indirect responsiblity to the factories in Mozambique and Zimbabwe. My team consisted of 40 people that span across a very diverse function in quality from product testing to spc control to green belts and black belts. I controled a budget of 22.5 million Rand ( 1.5 million pounds) across my department and I reported directly to the GM of this factory. Show less
