  Sample preparation technician

  As a sample preparation technician I worked in the health and nutrition laboratory to run tests on animal feeds. Since SGS is a high throughput lab I developed my time management skills to be able to keep up with the short turnaround times and the busy season while the company was understaffed. As a technician I learned and performed many analytical tests, this included:Starch, carbohydrates, fat, urea, nitrate, and dextrose testing. I was also responsible for preparing samples to analyze the mineral concentrations via ICP.I also worked in the grains lab to test ground wheat and flour samples. Show less
