      The Chief of Police for the Guam Police Department is a unclassified executive management position designated or appointed by the Governor of Guam and required to complete a confirmation process by the Guam Legislature. The Chief of Police is responsible for the management of the Guam Police Department. The Guam Police Department is the primary local law enforcement agency for the island of Guam. The total number of full time employees with the Guam Police Department is 385, consisting of both uniform sworn officers and administrative support civilian personnel.
