Anne provides tax planning and advisory services to various tax-exempt entities, including large private foundations, non-profit health care systems, medical research organizations, educational institutions, pension trusts, public charities, and supporting organizations. She leads client relationships and provides services that integrate federal, state, & international tax, transfer pricing, employment tax, indirect tax, and advisory support. Anne has consulted with clients on a variety of tax issues related to the not-for-profit industry, including tax-exempt status qualifications, unrelated business income, alternative investments, private inurement/benefit and intermediate sanctions, entity restructuring, executive compensation, and community benefit reporting. Anne has represented organizations before the IRS in connection with examinations and tax-exemption applications. Anne spent three years in Deloitte’s Washington National Tax practice where she worked directly with the national tax-exempt industry leader. Anne has spoken for industry organizations such as the American Institute of CPAs, the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Central Association of College & University Business Officers.
