Currently, the nurses do umpteen things in supporting people with cancer transition from curative to palliative care. Some of these roles are known, some go unseen and unheard. This study aims to formulate a comprehensive and robust theory that clarifies and clearly identifies the role of the nurse in facilitating the shift of treatment focus from curative phase to palliative phase in case of advanced cancer.
