  As an ESL Teacher for high school students, the key areas I focus on are speaking and listening. This role is very rewarding as I am able to see the students improve throughout the year. I teach Senior 1, 2 and 3, most of whom I teach literature classes to. This enables me to apply my own knowledge from my degree, whilst formatting it in an engaging way for the students. As it is part of my role as an ESL Teacher, I have a strong grasp of the English language- especially grammar as this is something I often have to help the students with. Show less

  As a content intern, my main role is to create article for the Baopals blog. Baopals is an e-commerce site which translates Taobao, a popular shopping site in China, into English to make it accessible for expats. Articles I have written vary in genre and tone: I have written about recent news in China, and also more humorous pieces such as ‘chinglish’ t-shirts and seasonal articles. I also edit articles written by others, for both the main blog and the style blog.
