Charged with the maintenance and custody of over 600 Top Secret items, as the ship’s Top Secret Control Officer, a program requiring absolute integrity and meticulous administration. Responsible for all aspects of radiological and water chemistry controls involved with the reactor and steam plant. Supervised a division of eight Sailors to ensure procedural compliance with strict government safety standards.

Acted as a liaison between the land based staff and up to 10 U.S. submarines and 15 additional allied nations’ submarines conducting coordinated and independent operations at sea.
