  I have experience working for a government agency, the City of Santa Maria’s Community Development Department under the Planning Division. Here, I was responsive to a highly involved and educated community with a population of 103,642, under the direction of the Community Development Director. I familiarized myself with the planning environment, policy development, research and data collection, drafting of memos and reports, and the management of documentation. I experienced approving various discretionary projects, and processed variance and environmental assessment applications. I generated diagrams, exhibits, maps, and illustrations utilizing ArcGIS software. I performed other administrative tasks including customer service at the public counter.
