  Project Manager for several ongoing Atkins projects at Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station, managing deliverables and personnel secondments as well as station bid opportunities.I managed three main projects and their associated risks, these include the following; 1. Site software installation, 2. Upgrade of the clients knowledge transfer system, 3. Strategic workforce forecasting.Total cost circa £0.6 million. In this role I supported my team of five through their projects and professional development. My role was to facilitate the delivery of Atkins digital projects and undertake business development on the power station by applying my site knowledge and digital capabilities. I was promoted to Mechanical Engineer due to my on-site experience delivering projects on Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station and Hinkley Point C construction site. At this stage of my career, I had completed the Atkins Graduate Development Programme and I was working towards my chartership. My initial role on the Graduate Development Programme was predominantly design and theory based. I completed various substantiation calculations from first principles to validate my designs.

  Overview: Lead a core team of five and two groups of contractors to upgrade the alarm and safety system for the Hypochlorination Plant, budget £0.65 million.Achievements: Safely installed and tested a new alarm system adding additional safety functions. Overview: Technical Lead for the Reactor Polar Crane Refurbishment Project during the stations nuclear refuelling outage. Installing new software on the load monitoring system and adding surveillance equipment, budget £0.5 million. Achievements: Successfully refurbished the crane within the tight refuelling outage schedule and budget. Overview: De-risk mechanical installation using digital techniques to mitigate onsite misalignment issues between the civil construction and mechanical interface on Europe’s largest construction site.Achievements: The primary deployment successfully flagged up errors with the civil structure. Allowing the mechanical installation teams to complete corrective works before the equipment entered site.
