I am responsible for representing my university and promoting its programs to prospective students, families, and community members. Through my role as a student ambassador, I have gained valuable experience in public speaking, event planning, and relationship building.   While a part of Warner College of Natural Resources's Ecosystem Science & Sustainability SUPER program, I was paired with a faculty/graduate mentor to introduce me to undergraduate research. I learned how to conduct research from sampling in the field, data processing, and analysis, to presenting at CSU's CURC symposium. While in this position I researched the population and community structures of aquatic macro-invertebrates in urban Fort Collins. I discovered my love for hands-on experiential learning and field work, which guided me into applying for graduate school! Show less
