Patented hovercraft-reliant icebreaking system, amphibious lifeboat, and 100,000-dwt ice-strengthened oil, bulk, and ore carrier. Developed application of water-miscible solvents produced from biomass as petrol or diesel renewable additives. Led research on biochar and activated charcoal supported by €6.5 million investment by the EU and €6 million by the Irish Governments. Government Negotiations & Leadership:Played key role in Executive Inter-Change Programme in partnership with Canadian Government.Secured cooperation of Deputy Minister of Energy Mines and Resources as executive director of Eboroil operations in UK in preparation for development of Canada’s east coast. Negotiated UK-sector farm-in allowing for application of FPSO and applying for legislation to stop concessionaire shareholders influencing equity contractor solutions. Provided expert advice to federal authorities on receiving appropriate returns for offshore operations, resulting in achieving $1 billion grant. Directed conversion of 6 vessels and 2 new buildings for Mobil and Amoco; negotiated tax exemptions and developed ship- and platform-mounted anti-collision radar. Co-ordinated the drilling packages for 6 semi-submersibles rigs for Wilh Wilhelmsen in the early 1980'sLed technical and financial audits for exploration and production operations for 6 offshore operators on behalf of Government of Angola.
