  Involved in 6 days training and 17 days field work from November 23, 2020 till December 9,2020 for 'Data Collection' research study on "Generating Evidence for Strengthening SRH services in the COVID-19 Scenario"in ICT(Islamabad Capital Territory). This was UNFPA(United Nations Population Fund) project.Summary of Achievements:Working with the Population Council on a UNFPA funded project in the ICT (Islamabad Capital Territory) was like hitting the jackpot. We were on a mission to amp up SRH services in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Talk about being in the thick of it. As a team, we hit the road and visited various BHUs (Basic Health Units) and FWCs (Family Welfare Centers) in the rural villages of ICT. We got up close and personal with the Medical Doctors, firing away questions like there's no tomorrow. We dug deep into the Pre-Covid and current Covid situations, staffing dilemmas, expired medicines (a big no-no), the well-being of the hospital staff, and the precautionary measures taken during these challenging times. We had our eyes peeled, monitoring every nook and cranny of those hospitals, and giving the stink-eye to any expired medicines. Let's not forget about our eagle-eyed observations of the medical equipment, making sure they were up to snuff.Those 17 days of field work were an absolute whirlwind of professional growth and wonderful experiences.   Preparation of supporting documents(Purchase Requisition, POs, Comparative Statements etc), Coordination with vendors to get rates, Assist in Monitoring and maintaining office equipment and inventory supplies, Assist in providing logistic arrangements during trainings etc, Monitoring and maintaining tasks, Assist in Procurement of office supplies/ project related procurement.Summary of Achievements:The Internship at ECI (Empowerment Thru Creative Integration) was like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. I gained a treasure trove of knowledge on office protocols, mastered the art of vendor negotiations, and became a pro at handling logistical arrangements. The discussions I had, regarding business plans and entrepreneurship were like a burst of inspiration, and the way I communicated with high-ranking officials of United Nations and senior employees from such international organizations like, The World Bank, Asian Development Bank, OXFAM, Relief International, ACTED, Plan International, etc, were simply out of this world. It was like rubbing shoulders with the crème de la crème. I even had the chance to hop on a call and confirm the office address for sending ECI's annual report to the people working in these organizations. Show less

  Data Collection on a Research Study “Childhood Abuse and Marital Satisfaction: Role of Attachment Styles and Relationship Investment” under the supervision of Dr. Aliya Abdul Hayee(Psychologist), Lecturer Psychology, Program Manager BSSS.Summary of Achievements:I had the chance to lend a hand to a faculty member at SZABIST University who was on the PhD grind. We dove deep into the world of "Childhood Abuse and Marital Satisfaction: Role of Attachment Styles and Relationship Investment." It was quite the eye-opener as I connected with all sorts of hitched folks, picking their brains and collecting their thoughts through interviews and questionnaires. It was a real mind-bender getting inside their heads for this research. Not only did I gain a boatload of knowledge, but my communication skills got a serious upgrade too. Working under the wing of Dr. Aliya Abdul Hayee, a top-notch psychologist, was an absolute blast. This quantitative research work was a real game-changer. Show less

I was fortunate to be under the wing of the Executive Chef, where I soaked up a ton of knowledge and skills. It was a like a breathe of fresh air, teaching me how to juggle multiple tasks like a pro and handle any challenges that came my way with finesse.One thing I really took away from this experience was the art of cool-headed supervision. I learnt to lead the team intelligently and calmly, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues wisely. I also honed my expertise in MS Excel, which came in handy for various tasks. Coordinating activities became second nature to me, as I discovered the importance of effective and well-mannered collaboration.Managing staff activities was another facet of my role, and it was like conducting a well-orchestrated symphony. I delved into the world of Five Star Hotel Protocols, gaining insights into the highest standards of service and hospitality. And let's not forget my newfound ability to anticipate problems and tackle them head-on, ensuring that everything ran like a well-oiled machine.Overall, this experience completely flipped the script and had a massive impact on my life. From mastering the art of crafting professional research papers to fine-tuning my interpersonal skills and coordination abilities, I can confidently say that, I leveled up in more ways than one. The experience also sharpened my writing efficiency, critical thinking skills, and the art of engaging in confident and effective discussions with strong arguments. I learnt how to navigate various situations with grace, tackle problems with a calm and intellectual approach, and deliver presentations with unwavering confidence.
