      Functions as a Plans staff officer and subject matter expert/consultant for TRADOC-wide institutional training and education as it relates to strategy, plans, and analysis of concepts and guidance to the documentation of institutional training requirements for programming the Army’s individual training mission for 9 Centers of Excellence (CoE), 26 TRADOC service schools at 16 TRADOC installations. Develops, assists, analyzes and integrates plans to support the TRADOC institutional training and education mission that includes over 2600 courses and associated resources (training facilities, equipment, ammunition, instructors, and training support, etc). Provides expert guidance and technical direction on the institutional training mission to planners at HQDA, CoEs, schools, force structure managers, resource managers, program managers, other services, foreign military services and others. Conducts the planning and implementation of TRADOC training plans, initiatives and concepts such as the Army Learning Model (ALM), the Total Army School System (TASS), One Army School System (OASS), Officer, Civilian & Non Commissioned Officer Education System (NCOES) Transformation and Modularity, etc. Show less Provide Reserve Component (RC) subject matter expertise to improve RC personnel and training readiness, The Army School System (TASS) and the One Army School System. Show less Duties: Provides subject matter expertise through consultation and advisement in the areas of operational and strategic planning, fiscal expenditures, manpower, organizational design, resource management, training requirements, training management, policy implementation, force structure requirements, and long and short range planning goals and outcomes. I plan, monitor the execution of programs, organize, trouble-shoot, problem solve, resource and coordinate multiple assigned tasks across TRADOC wide activities. I serve on committees, working groups, and review boards to resolve issues and to determine future training requirements. I am considered an expert in the area of Professional Military Education. I provide command representation/liaison and have written and coordinated policy implementation between Department of the Army (DA) Staff, MACOMs, COCOMs, ASCCs, U.S Army Reserve(USAR), National Guard Bureau (NGB), DCG-IMT, ARCIC, Centers of Excellence, Institute of NCO Professional Development, 16 Proponents and all TRADOC schools. I supervise the conduct of MTTs and the synchronization of the ARFORGEN process. I personally provide input and prioritization recommendations for managing resource requirements as a function of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. Show less Primary advisor to the Commander, Joint Multinational Training Command and the Director of Training on aspects of planning, policy, operations, training management, training delivery, and readiness, as related to operational units in support of USAREUR and ARFORGEN plans and operations. I developed the policy direction, priorities and program strategies for the execution of the ARFORGEN RESET requirements for all USAREUR units. I conducted building partnership engagements with Minister of Defense and Senior Military personnel in support of the USAREUR efforts in Theatre Security Cooperation training development for coalition partner nations. I personally supervised all USAREUR ARFORGEN training, from initial requirement to execution. I worked closely with the JMTC Resource Managers to monitor the budget, prioritize and approve fund distribution for Mobile Training Team support. I directed the work of the DOT staff, which included the Plans and Policy division, Range operations, Combined Arms Training Center, and the Training Support Center- Europe. I supervised the range improvement programs for USAREUR and the daily operations of the Grafenwoehr range complex. I supervised the Combined Arms Training Center in Vilseck Germany, which was responsible for managing, organizing, and scheduling the education and training programs, the distributed learning program, and the staff and faculty development training program. I was a key stakeholder in the development and approval of all training related Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) for USAREUR. I prepared briefings, reports, memorandums, and presented briefings to managers, staff officials, and higher headquarters/echelon personnel. I was responsible for the training and career development, health, welfare, and safety of 780 Soldiers, Officers and civilians in five separate divisions that are geographically dispersed across four countries. Show less Operations Sergeant Major for the Southern European Task Force (Airborne). Senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of Operations/ G3 and a staff of 28 Officers, NCOs, DOD civilians. I directly influenced the Operations, Plans and Force Integration for Southern European Task Force. I conducted mission analysis and resourced taskings from USAREUR, EUCOM, JCS, and DA in conjunction with higher level guidance, regarding operations to develop, adapt, modify, coordinate and implement OPLANS, Fragmentation Orders (FRAGOS) and related planning documents. I evaluated and verified deployment/redeployment plans and Time Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) to ensure continuity, completeness, and consistency with USAREUR, EUCOM, FORSCOM and HQDA guidance, policy, and methodology. I maintained a close liaison with V Corps, 21st Theatre Sustainment Command, USAREUR, and EUCOM, as well as other Service Component organizations to ensure proper support to accomplish the mission. Monitored force tracking procedures to ensure visibility of all USASETAF assets in the deployment pipeline. The first sergeant holds formations, instructs platoon sergeants and is the senior trainer for all individual training that supports the unit METL; responsible for the professional development of over 20 NCOs. Coordinates administrative and logistical support, to include water and food service, mail, laundry, showers, maintenance, and evacuation of personnel and equipment.
