In my role I was responsible for patients under my care, communicating the nature of any testing that would be performed, performing necessary procedures to obtain required samples, carrying out the clinical analysis of samples, interpreting their results and delivering results.

  At the WWCRC I gained laboratory experience and exposure to early stages of the clinical trial process. During my time at the WWCRC I investigated the methods for detecting cell-free DNA in plasma and serum, investigating the potential as a screening or prognostic tool in cancer patients. Additionally, valuable experience of working in a GLP/GCLP environment and adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) was obtained.

  At the University of Macau's Institute for Chinese Medical Science (ICMS) I was responsible for investigating the chemical behavior of CB[7] and evaluating the effect of CB[7] on the biological properties of various compounds.Additionally, while at the ICMS have co-authored in "Supramolecular Alleviation of Hepatotoxicity of Arecoline (Areca alkaloid) by a Synthetic Receptor", (DOI: 10.1002/slct.201700333). I have since continued my collaboration with the University of Macau co-authoring: "A Facile Method to Construct MXene/CuO Nanocomposite with Enhanced Catalytic Activity of CuO on Thermal Decomposition of Ammonium Perchlorate", (DOI: 10.3390/ma11122457).   Previously as a Project Manager at Q-Squared Solutions I acted as a single point of contact for the effective management of the lab testing components of global clinical trials - both varied and complex. My role required that I provide regional support for clinical trial materials, logistics, and delivery of high quality analytical services. Delivery of these services was achieved through effective management of internal, external and global communications. Doing so allowed for key milestones throughout the life of the project to be met on time and within the agreed budget and schedule.Extensive experience was gained working with well established sponsors, to improve and maintain account health and with Emerging Biopharma, where a carefully tailored approach was needed due to a different set of needs.
