  My primary duties were managing two departments: Grievances and TRU- Transportation Review Unit (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse).Grievances:Managed all functions of the Grievance Team and Department – the grievance team worked to resolve issues, complaints and disputes related to non-emergency medical transportation.-The Grievance Team investigated and resolves 60-100 grievances per month.-The Grievance Team was responsible for follow-up and documentation of all motor vehicle accidents.Transportation Review Unit (TRU):The TRU Team acted as part of the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse functions of the organization. The primary functions of the TRU Team were verification of appointments related to transportation, as well as, processing forms documenting the necessary mode of transportation, in addition to, other necessary functions for trip scheduling and review.-The TRU Team made around 3200 outgoing calls monthly.-The TRU Team processed around 1500 forms monthly.-The TRU Team processed around 1200 bus vouchers/letters each month.-The TRU Team processed 800-1000 denials and associated letters each month.Achievement: Developing a daily workflow process for the TRU Team.
