Some of my key accomplishments include:1. Taught 2 doctoral courses per semester (Industrial Audiology, Pediatric Audiology, Auditory processing deficits, and Advanced Aural Rehabilitation) to ensure excellent outcomes on the Audiology PRAXIS exams. 2. Provided and supervised of audiological services in the LEND interdisciplinary clinic from 2005 to 2008 to promote clinical practice in inter-professional service delivery.3. Coordinated placements and mentoring of 4th year audiology residency student from 2006 to 2009.4. Cultivated several 4th year audiology residency sites across the nation for doctoral students in audiology to ensure clinical practice across various settings.5. Developed, Implemented and guided a portfolio procedure for 4th year audiology residency students to meet program accreditation and audiology certification standards. 6. Published two single-authored textbooks related to Hearing Conservation and Auditory Processing Deficits to promote knowledge acquisition and service deliveries in these areas.7. Some of my key accomplishments within these roles include:1. Improved the USA ranking of the graduate program in speech-language pathology by 49 points, by driving premium quality education. 2. Secured accreditation for the Master’s Speech-Language Pathology program through 2027 by achieving highest standards for all accreditation criteria. 3. Increased graduate enrollment from 67 to 96 students to ensure a broader impact on the quality of life of clients with hearing, swallowing and communication disorders. 4. Collaboratively planned the new departmental space with the UM architect to include 11 research laboratories and numerous clinical service delivery/observation rooms. Solidified the construction through efficient fiscal management in collaboration with the interim dean.5. Operated the departmental budget of $1.6 million through the COVID-19 issues without losing any departmental positions. 6. Oversaw and secured funding through various sources including donations, grants and online, summer and intersession course offerings. 7. Enriched research labs and clinical spaces with current technologies to ensure evidence-based clinical service.8. Hired three research faculty members from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and two clinical supervisors to ensure optimal learning and research opportunities for students. 10. Implemented centralized admissions process through CSDCAS to ensure access for students across the world. 11. Supported the Implementation of Electronic Medical Records to improve clinical service efficiency. 12. Developed the substantive change document as the first step towards implementing an online master’s degree program. 13. Obtained preliminary approval to plan the initiation of a Ph.D. program.
