  I led the research project 'Cultural Transductions Universals and Lacunae: An International Contra-flow Study,' examining the flow of audiovisual products between cultural markets. This project significantly contributed to the rise in national rankings for the 'Audiovisual Culture' research group.As a lecturer and researcher, I played a key role in positioning the Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication Program as one of the top communication programs in Colombia. I designed and taught courses in video game and interactive product design, transmedia product development, cultural product flows and counterflows, and sound editing.As the Director of Internationalization for the faculty, I promoted the internationalization of the program. I also supported the national and international accreditation processes for the Faculty of Communication, the university, and its undergraduate programs. Show less

  As a researcher, I designed and executed the research project "Encouraging play experience expansion with machine-learning-based recommendation systems: user-experience design considerations in the use of recommendation system". This project delved into the realm of Explainable Artificial Intelligence and Personal Informatics, examining their applicability in shaping interface and experience design for machine-learning-based recommender systems.Within the scope of this research project, I achieved the following notable milestones: - Secured substantial funding exceeding $100,000 AUD to propel the project forward.- Devised a sophisticated recommendation system tailored to train video game enthusiasts.- Pioneered the integration of machine learning techniques to fortify the underlying framework of the recommender system using Python. This was executed alongside the development of a user-friendly graphical interface.- Effectively disseminated the outcomes of the research by publishing and presenting the results to key stakeholders and academic peers.
