Within the human capital division, we focus on recruiting, growing, and retaining a diverse and effective staff.We have led significant turnaround efforts within the Office of Human Capital, fostering a positive team culture and improving retention rates. Notably, we achieved a 27% increase in BIPOC hires and a 60% increase in BIPOC teacher hiring during the 2023-2024 academic year.By implementing strategic changes, we successfully reduced vacancies and maintained a first-year teacher retention rate of 88%, exceeding national averages. Additionally, we prioritized the retention of BIPOC educators, achieving retention rates ranging from 97% to 100% for Black and Hispanic teachers.We have established Affinity Groups and launched a Recruitment Ambassador Program to attract teachers locally and globally.
