    • Geosoft Inc.

      Jan 2002 - Jan 2019

As Near Surface Market Leader, I continued to expand Geosoft's global participation and business portfolio in the near surface sector, beginning with a focus on our existing unexploded ordnance (UXO) business and developing new opportunities to leverage our capabilities and technology into exciting new areas, to support our customers. This included environmental applications, infrastructure and geotechnical studies, and others. We support customers with software for geophysics, borehole surveys and other work to understand, map and analyze the subsurface on land and in the marine environment. As the primary go-to person for technical and business questions about the Near Surface market within Geosoft, I managed the product, pricing and promotion of related products and services, including the technical development roadmap. Show less As UXO Market Manager, I focussed on growing and improving Geosoft's global support of projects and organizations using our software for UneXploded Ordnance (UXO) detection and data analysis. The goal of such projects is to use geophysical methods to detect and classify munitions targets, in order to minimize the amount of digging required to assure a safe environment for future land uses. Geosoft has been working in this area for many years and is the de facto software standard for North American UXO work. It is also used extensively for underwater surveys in the North Sea to aid in infrastructure placement for large wind farms. Show less Role in business development and sales, developing advanced data management and custom development projects. Working with the North American sales team and their customers, building significant long-term relationships and corporate agreements with governments and exploration companies. Geoscientific data organization and management projects for North American customers. Also, developing significant relationships with key players in the unexploded ordnance (UXO) industry, and managing Geosoft business strategy and pre-eminence in this marketplace. Show less
