      Doctoral Thesis: Modeling of Inhomogeneous and Lossy Waveguide Components by the Segmentation Technique Combined with the BI-RME method.The main research activities are focused on the development of algorithms for the electromagnetic analysis and development of RF and microwave components. During this experience, I have actively participated to some industrial projects (information are covered by industrial secret). In particular, the “Smart Food” project, whose aim was the development of an intelligent technology to control the food cooking in a home environment in order to reduce food waste and preserve, almost unaltered, the main organoleptic properties of food. This project was funded by the "Regione Lombardia" and involved a consortium of industrial partners, such as Whirlpool Europe s.r.l. (now Whirlpool EMEA) and Whirlpool R&D, and scientific partners, such as the University of Milan, the University of Pavia (Microwave Lab.) and the Polytechnic of Milan. Show less
