  I taught children as young as 3 years old how to play chess, including piece mechanics and basic strategy, through a narrative-based curriculum developed by Chess At Three. Using their stories as well as my own, I worked with students in group and one-on-one settings to create a fun and engaging learning environment where students could begin to reap all the cognitive benefits associated with learning chess at a very young age.

  In addition to my prior responsibilities as an Organizing Fellow, I hosted additional weekly phonebanks, training new and returning volunteers with a focus on effective persuasion and volunteer recruitment. I also took on special projects, such as raising contributions for a candidate fundraising match fund. As an Organizing Fellow, I recruited new volunteer leaders and assisted with capacity projects for multiple volunteer teams across the country. In addition to direct volunteer engagement, I composed and edited scripts for phone and email. I also run and support a weekly phonebank, calling for several candidates in the Virginia House of Delegates race.
