  Congressional Intern

  Shadowing experience with Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib (MI). Attendance during votes, meetings, and press conferences were regular, and built the foundation for vital political skills. Tasked with drafting official communications sent out by the office on a variety of platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Communications released through the Congressional website included press releases and floor speeches.

  Arab American Institute

  Volunteer Staff

  Worked with the Washington, D.C.-based Arab American Institute on their “Yalla Vote” campaign, and staffed a voter education table outside Woodworth Middle School on election day, speaking with voters. Those who requested or needed assistance with the voting process were welcomed with open arms and helped.

  LSA Student Government at the University of Michigan

  Serving as the Diversity Affairs Officer in LSA Student Government. On the executive board, leading multiple DEI initiates and projects benefiting LSA students. Elected by the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts student body into LSA Student Government. Serving a one-year term as a member of the general assembly. Serving on the Diversity Affairs Committee expanding leadership and resources for all groups on campus. Working on creating a safe space for discussion and debate in government, and adopting new government policies to strengthen community voices in government. Serving as the Diversity Affairs Committee Vice Chair in LSA Student Government. Working alongside other DAC and LSA SG leadership to increase minority enrollment, plan an array of events, and increase ambassadorship to cultural student organizations on campus. Served as an appointed representative for the LSA Student Government. Representing and advocating for the needs of the students of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.

  Academic Peer Advisor - Comprehensive Studies Program

  Working in the Comprehensive Studies Program (CSP) as an Academic Peer Advisor (APA). Mentoring and helping incoming and transfer students with their schedules and preparation for college. A part of several registration sessions and one-on-one meetings with students. Created a detailed and comprehensive orientation overview, comprised of CSP resources, student opportunities, and much more, which was presented to incoming CSP students.
