  Thesis. Quality Modelling Water of Manzanares’ River:University fellowship at the Hydrological Resources Department granted by the Politehnic University of Valencia (2009) to carry out my thesis. The river Manzanares is modelled at its path through Madrid, between the Pardo and the Rey dams. The tool AQUATOOL (Simges and Gescal) is used in order to calibrate both the conditions taken place in the river according to the information supplied by the ICA and SAICA nets, and the Wastewater Treatment Plants into the river, creating a model. Simulation of the river Manzanares’ quality following the European legislation on the maximum waste levels by the water treatment plants spilled over the river and also an analysis of the procedures needed to fulfil the EU legislation.
