      IDEC Student Design Competition Regional Winner IDEC Feb 2017 My team of three UMN interiors students designed a community education center in Miami, Florida to inform people about the Amazon Rainforest and its destruction. Our design, based on creating an emotional connection between people and landscape, won the regional division of the 2016/17 competition.

      Undergraduate Research Opportunity Project client and University of Minnesota Mar 2015 My group's designs were chosen to move forward on a real life client project for an elementary school in St. Paul, Minnesota. I then got accepted to do an Undergraduate Research Opportunity through the University of Minnesota to complete and help implement the design. The resulting design solution helped struggling students in a low income community to take advantage of and learn better in their classrooms.
