  For the summer of 2016 I played music in pubs around Newport. We play live gigs every week. This really changed me from shy boy to the confident man I am today. Playing in front of crowds really helped me in so many ways. I really don’t see it too different from public speaking or giving presentations , instead of talking I was singing, so in that regard it has been a huge help in speeches and presentations that I have had to give in collage to date. I also write a lot of my own songs presently which has evolved my creativity which comes in very useful in my modules in collage such as marketing and business start up where I have developed logos, catch phrases and other hooks to get consumers attention.   I was a barman in Hotel Newport for eleven months. I also worked the role of a waiter but most of my time was behind the bar doing the evening shifts. I often worked late hours and have had to deal with all sorts of personality which have helped me adapt and grow socially. The job has developed the way I deal with situations.

  Working in a Garden Center time slows down and I get some fresh air that helps clear my head and leaves me feeling fresh and innovated for the days ahead. While most of my time consists of weeding, watering and tending to the plants needs I also interact with customers and try and help them to the best of my ability whether that is finding a certain plant or carrying the products to their car. I really enjoy the tranquility that is present at the garden center and I worked this job in conjunction with the hotel I also worked at. Once a week I would go from working at the garden centre 9-5 to then work at the hotel from 7-finish which would often be after 12. Show less

  My job entails the overall management of the site of which 23 residential houses are being built. Main work activities include • Ordering and Forecasting material needs on site. • Site safety and all inclusive paperwork. • Overseeing that work gets completed to specified standards and that design details don’t get overlooked.• Liaise with subcontractors to plan labour work schedule. •Materials Management
