Provided administrative leadership in planning, implementation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of interscholastic athletic programs for the middle and upper school. Promoted extracurricular athletic activity that fostered skill development, understanding of sports, and appreciation for a variety of athletic activities and programs, teaming, and sportsmanship for students and adults. During tenure, led athletic teams to earn 11 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) State Championships in six different sports for the Academy, an achievement unmatched in the school's 60+ year history. Teams particpated in the highly coveted Virginia Cup Champions League. Coached U17 Boys team to AAU Junior Olympic Indoor Soccer National Championship in 2005 and U13 Boys AAU Indoor Soccer Finalists in 2006.

This includes the direction and operation of a small (up to 99 children) or a medium (100-199 children) School Age Care (SAC) program and/or a Youth Program (YP). Responsible for the administration of developmentally appropriate programs, budgeting and financial management, personnel management, program operation, inspection compliance and accreditation. Providing a variety of services in accordance with demand and availability of funding to include programs for children ages 5 years through 18 years such as: before and after school programs, summer and vacation camp, open recreation, sports and fitness activities, teen programming, and special events. By utilizing my child and youth development training and expertise I role modeled, mentored, coordinated and provided training, observed for successful implementation of training and assessed development of children and youth by direct observation. I coordinated programming that supported children and youth's physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development. I ensured the quality and consistency of developmental programming to include the environment, equipment, materials, program structure, curriculum, risk management practices, and oversight and coordination of activity schedules and lesson plans. I evaluated classroom or activity area environments and made recommendations to the Director for the selection of developmentally appropriate toys, materials and equipment.I am a Certified Professional Development Specialist and Military School-Age (MSA) Representative. Analyzes interprets,and applies complex legislative, policy, and regulatory decisions in the development of local program plans, policies, and guidance. Manages and conducts assessments to ensure full program implementation in compliance with Public Law, Military Child Care Act of 1989/1996, DoDI, Air Force Regulations, National Association for the Education of Children (NAEYC) and the Council on Accreditation (COA) regulations and professional standards ensuring the flight's mission, promptly and efficiently.
