The roles and responsibilities associated with this position were centered on the timely delivery of tactical and strategic analytical-end products throughout the Provincial Capital District (PCD), comprising of 10 RCMP Detachments. Intelligence-led models of policing were embraced in order to achieve a successful and seamless flow of information and intelligence throughout the PCD and other policing partners from local to national levels. I conducted oversight of investigations relating to police misconduct with a view to provide advice and direction with respect to necessary investigative steps and relevant legal principles. I responded to enquiries and provided guidance to stakeholders with respect to Police Act procedure and resolving complaints. My responsibilities also included the attendance of disciplinary Hearings and the review of tribunal decisions against the relevant legislation to make recommendations to the Commissioner with respect to exercising his authority to direct further adjudication of Police Act investigations.
