  Primary responsibilities included administering LAN network. I created all accounts for new users, as well as, removal (preparation for removal/transfer) of all accounts upon termination. Administered all Microsoft servers - Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008; as well as, all Microsoft Active Directory accounts. This included administration of Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 Servers, including an Edge server. A Blackberry Enterprise Server was used to administer user’s blackberries; also did troubleshooting of handhelds and supported end users. Administered VMware ESX servers hosting multiple Microsoft Windows Server OS guests. VMware Infrastructure 3 was used for centralized administration of all host and guest OSs. Installed and configured both WhatsUpGold and Dell IT Assistant to help monitor all systems and notify if any issues occurred with hardware or services. Knowledgeable using APC uninterruptible power supplies to maintain power to servers with either Network Management cards or serial connection to notify administrators of any power issues. I was also responsible for Websense Security Suite administration and upgrade. I monitored and administered the company’s Email Xtender application. Administered Symantec Antivirus software including upgrading from Symantec Antivirus to Symantec Endpoint Security 11.x. I installed and administered Symantec Backup Exec software; including versions 9 through 12.5. My responsibilities also included supporting end users, both in-house and remote, with any software or hardware issues.
