These adapters transform the data coming from the data collection systems to a common format so that EnergyIP can interpret and process it.More technically, the primary function of AMI Adapters is to bring data from an external data collection system via flat files, XML files, or binary files and publish raw meter read data to EnergyIP. The AMI Adapter parses incoming files as needed before publishing raw messages to the bus. EnergyIP can also communicate back to the meter through the AMI Adapters.
