The office was a full service office with delivery in loan processing, servicing and liquidation; 8(a) contracting, development and portfolio management to ensure business development opportunities for 8(a) SB concerns were available; provided business counseling and training through the economic development program for new or expanding small businesses. Services provided through cooperative agreements with external partners on specific skills training, business advice, accounting services or operational matters to stabilize or develop small businesses. Supervised 25 employees; managed a budget of $1.5 million; responsible for all personnel matters, administrative operations, legal processing and resource contracting. Implementation of the national effort to consolidate the Small Business and Disaster Loan Servicing Program from each district office in the country into two large centers.       National Eye Institute (NEI): Provide advanced analysis and evaluation regarding the spectrum of the organizational and workforce development policies and procedures by developing mission critical succession plans, career enrichment training in connection with competencies and a review of the multi sector workforce within the Institute. Founder of the Research in Vision Student Intern Program. The internship provides lab experience, mentorship and encourages science students interested in pursuing biomedical research as well as serving as a potential pipeline for lab-experienced future hires. NIH Office of the Director (OD): Responsible for building the largest federal Government A-76 Most Efficient Organizations (MEO) outside of DOD, from a statement of work. The MEO was a consolidation function of the extramural grant services in 25 Institutes with extramural grant authority into the Office of the Director of NIH. The consolidation eliminated over 300 positions, processing redundancies and inefficiencies by transitioning to the use of electronic processes and creating specialized service centers. NIH saved over 7 million in the first year. As Director, responsible for 650 employees and 100 contractors with a budget of $37 million performing grant services across 25 Institutes. Show less
