      I-Team schools are an off-campus alternative program for high school students with special needs in the Cherry Creek School District. Special needs may include learning, behavioral or emotional issues that make it difficult to be successful in their home high school. I-Teams provide a small educational community for 11th and 12th graders, ages 16-21, with a low student-to-teacher ratio. All students work closely with a case manager, who oversees the Individualized Education Program (IEP) of each student, graduation credits, discipline issues and academic progress.- Received the Dream Maker Award, for making a difference in Special Education in Cherry Creek Schools, Spring 2008- Created and developed a variety of unique curricula for a diverse group of high school juniors and seniors with special needs (learning, behavioral and/or emotional) - Worked closely with a team of seven staff members and 65 students to establish relationships with students, build trust, and help them access their post-secondary goals by completing coursework in a small class and school environment, offering flexible hours, and individualized student support Show less
