      Professional Intern

Professional Intern for Magic Kingdom Engineering Services in the Planning and Buildings departmentsProjects include:- Designed a Show Review Worksheet (SRW) to check all show elements in an attraction in order for Operations Cast Members to complete. The SRW will then be handed over to Engineering Services to inform them about what is not in good show. Led a team of people from each park to create SRW's for all attractions across property. SRW's have been implemented or will be implemented and added to the closing checklist for each attractions. -Created and implemented a plan for rotating FP+ touchpoints at attractions in order to increase guest comfort during use and visibility. Determined whether or not rotating the touchpoints out 45 degrees would be benficial for each attraction. 24 out of 28 attractions were modified and guest throughput increased 5-15%. -Organized custodial efforts for downtimes in attractions including "it's a small world", Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, the Progress City model in the Tomorrowland Transit Authority People Mover, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Coordinated with ops to plan a time to walk attractions to have a better understanding of what work needs to be done with what priority. -Worked directly with the Director of Engineering Services in Magic Kingdom to organize and compile data for IFP reports and presentations. Final products included tables outlining IFP work orders from FY13-FY18 by year, work classification, and work order category. -Utilized data derived from OpSheet to determine the attraction downtime associated with maintenance reasons. Analyzed three attractions (Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Jungle Cruise, and Tomorrowland Speedway) and learned how they operate in order to understand how to obtain our results. In the end it was decided that the percent of downtime associated with maintenance was not high enough to address it any further. Show less
