  This could be regarded as to my stepping stone into the world of QA/QC. over the period of 14 weeks I learnt to build QA/QC packages, interpret welding/and client construction specifications, i.e. GEMS, Welder tracking and weld map construction, NDT reports, pressure testing certification, the fundamentals of nozzle flange checklists and the compilation of finalised documentation to meet the requirements of Client sign off's. It should be emphasised that this was not only an office job. It entailed visits into plant, (live and shutdown) on a regualar basis. Many times I had to work at heights and within the confinements of enclosed spaces, marking up and tracking weldments to formulate the necessary information. It has given me the ability to be proficient at the interpretation of isometric and P & ID Drawings. I understand the potential of the common NDT Techniques of inspection and their subsequent limitations. Show less
